Luke Challenger this week signed from Division 1 side Blaenavon RFC and the local boy vows to give it his all for his hometown club. The speedy back looked an ever present threat as Blaina advanced in their cup campaign beating Pontllanfraith RFC 31-0. Blaina have made an array of spectacular signings this season and Challenger will only add to Blaina's on field success, scoring an incredible 38 points in his opening two games. On signing the utility back said he had signed back to Blaina to get back playing with 'the boys' and be involved in the atmosphere on and off the field. The determined 22 year old also declared he wants to see the club rise up the leagues back where it belongs. When asked about the best and worst things about playing for the Lambs Challenger stated he "loves the atmosphere around the club - everyone gives 100% but the worst thing is being made to drink after the game when he's a rubbish drinker". Fans of the club can see the youngster in action this Saturday when Blaina return to league action hosting Brynithel RFC 2:30 kick off on Central Park.
