Blaina rfc have had well documented tough times in the past few seasons but as one the oldest clubs in Wales enters its 141st year there's reason to be optimistic. Pre season has seen an average of 22 players in training with plenty of new signings to be announced in the next few days. Training has been led by new head coach Paul Baxter and assisted by Ebbw Vale scrum half Tom Edwards. The hard work showed last Saturday when the club beat Whiteheads rfc 17-0. With plenty of work still left to do in preparation for the first league game training will commence at Central Park Blaina Monday and Thursday 6:30 start for any new players interested.
