Blaina sign Division 1 trio

Ambitious Blaina RFC today announce the signing of three players who spent last season playing in Division 1. Michael John, a powerful running centre, will join for the 2016/17 season. His dedication and leadership skills have already won admiration from the Blaina coaching team and he's been given the Vice Captaincy for the coming season. Mike, who played for Nantyglo RFC last year will bring a fantastic attitude to the lambs. Mike will be joined by former Nantyglo teammate Thomas ''Fish'' Langridge a dynamic and athletic wing/fullback who will bring a fast and high tempo approach to the squad; both players will bring a winning mentality having helped Nantyglo win Division 2 in 2014/15. On joining the club Tom said he would like to "help Blaina rebuild, win the league and help them to become one of the biggest clubs around here again".  Joining them will be Kristian Reynolds who signs from Brynmawr RFC; the loosehead prop forward will surely aim to strengthen the Lambs already strong scrum. All three players are local Blaina boys and the faithful crowed will know what to expect as the trio are not strangers to the club, and all had a hand in Blaina United's 2012/13 season in which the club conceded the league on the last day of the season to Treharris RFC. Hopefully this boost will help Blaina climb the league and improve on last season.
