Powerful young prop makes debut.

Blaina RFC handed youngster Tom Bell his club debut this week in the 54-7 win over Beaufort RFC. The powerful youngster looked confident and comfortable in the derby day atmosphere. Bell scrummaged well and worked tirelessly in the loose, making numerous runs generally crashing over the opposition gain line. Bell certainly looks as though he has all the aspects to become a first team regular at Blaina and will look to build on his impressive start at the Lambs. The 21 year old signs from Abertillery RFC, where he helped the club win a division 2 league championship. Local boy Bell stated he was looking for a new club to build confidence with and couldn't think of anywhere better than his hometown team. He also remarked " I would like to see Blaina go up a few leagues and I want to enjoy my rugby which I'll do here". The mobile prop will look to help build on his personal efforts this week as Blaina travel to Pontllanfraith RFC for Round One of the WRU National Bowl competion.
